In order to respond in time to all the requests received from customers for the period of the year when the risk of spring frost is at its highest, the Italian company Aria srl has focused on the production and installation of Anti-Frost 3-22 fans during the month of March.
The electric fans produced by the Tuscan company Aria srl offer a solution to late frosts, but also to the excessive noise that sometimes causes discomfort in farms. The company has received orders from fruit and wine growers in Italy, France, Poland, and Romania for the 2025 season and has already installed many fans in various regions of Italy.
"In the last few days," says the company, "our fan has been exhibited at MAG, The Farmer Fair, and Agricultural Mechanization Fair in Savigliano (in Piedmont), by our distributor CAP Nord Ovest."
"There are tools for the control of late frost and in some Italian regions, they are financed through public funds, RDPs, and other subsidies. According to Aria srl, "There are currently several active tenders in the regions of Emilia-Romagna and Veneto, but there is also the possibility of obtaining important contributions in other regions."
The mobile model positioned on an agricultural trailer
"One of our latest innovations, which is attracting a lot of interest," explains Manuele Morelli, owner of Aria and project engineer, "is the mobile version of the Antibrina 3-22-C, installed on an agricultural trailer. We have designed the only 10-meter high mobile anti-frost fan. It is the same model mounted on a base, with the same performance in terms of coverage as the installed fans, but with the flexibility of the mobile ones. The special design has also allowed us to create a machine that, despite its height, is very compact and, once closed, can be easily moved inside the rows."
Farmers in Italy and abroad are increasingly opting for an electric motor instead of a diesel engine. In addition to noise reduction, there are clear advantages in operation and maintenance. "Without any transmission parts, the Anti-Frost 3-22 is driven by an electric motor directly connected to the rotor. Our fan can be connected directly to the mains or powered by a generator or tractor generator," says Morelli.
The electric motor and the absence of any mechanical transmission parts eliminate the problems caused by months of downtime, thus significantly reducing the cost of maintenance. "An antifreeze fan has to be left idle for many months of the year: this causes damage to the traditional motors, and it is often difficult and very expensive to get them running again," he says.
"The technical design makes Antibrina 3-22 one of the quietest anti-frost fans on the market, and technical tests have shown that the noise level is about half that of traditional anti-frost fans," the engineer concludes.
The 3-22 anti-frost fans are suitable for Industry 4.0.
