Weekly Banana prices:

Colombian banana prices up 9%, Costa Rican rise 2% week on week

Banana price trends from key exporting countries show slight fluctuations compared to the previous week. Recent data highlights variations in average prices for imports from Colombia and Costa Rica.

Recent pricing data shows a notable increase in the average price of bananas from Colombia, which rose from £0.96 in the previous week to £1.05 in the current week. This reflects a £0.09 increase, indicating a week-on-week upward adjustment in the pricing of Colombian banana imports.

In contrast, bananas from Costa Rica experienced a marginal price change. The average price increased slightly from £0.97 in the previous week to £0.99 in the current week, representing a £0.02 rise. While both countries saw increases in banana prices, the change was more pronounced for Colombian produce.
