At the same time, the company appoints Petr Pavlik in the role of Brand President of local Czech brand Albert as of April 1st.

UK: HelloFresh expands core menu with more premium ingredients
Recipe box brand HelloFresh is introducing more premium ingredients to its core menu, and more fruit or vegetables into every meal, to improve variety in family diets. Customers will now see premium protein ingredients, such as salmon, on the menu at no additional cost. All meals listed will include at least two fruits or vegetables, with new ingredients such as samphire, pomegranates and figs.

UK: Tesco to raise wages by 5% but scrap Sunday bonus

A social media-driven boycott of Sweden's largest supermarket chains aims to protest rising grocery costs this week. Annika Morina, one of those behind the boycott, says that consumers are taking action to voice their frustration. US: Giant Co. grows its footprint near Philadelphia
The Giant Co. is getting ready to cut the ribbon on a new 50,000 square foot store in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, north of Philadelphia. The location will open on April 4, bringing more than 100 full- and part-time jobs to the area. The Jenkintown store, located at 93 York Road, will feature Giant Co.'s signature fresh departments with dedicated space for organics, service deli with pre-sliced meats and cheeses, dairy, bakery, full-service floral, and a separate healthy, natural and organic section.

US: HelloFresh to close Texas facility, cut nearly 300 jobs
HelloFresh is laying off 273 workers at its distribution center in Grand Prairie, Texas, effective May 13, according to a WARN notice. The meal kit company is closing that distribution center and consolidating its Texas operations to its Irving site, the company confirmed to Grocery Dive.
