Peruzzo's mission is to offer premium seasonal products throughout the year. Through regular in-store events, the Group aims to offer consumers fresh, quality produce, with an emphasis on short distribution channels. "We organize 12 events a year, which reflect the seasonal nature of produce and highlight fruit and vegetables at their best. Besides offering consumers a rigorous selection of seasonal produce, these in-store events also involve tastings and advice on their origin and benefits. They are designed to attract attention through careful display on the shelves. The aim is to promote a top-of-the-range offer with seasonal products from sustainable agriculture to create a unique experience for consumers," explains Thomas Naïmi, sales director at Direct Provence by Peruzzo.

Encouraging consumers to buy more to boost shelf rotation
For example, an Italian operation was recently launched, featuring the Group's clementine production and products from its Italian partners. "The selection includes Tarocco oranges, Sorrento lemons, and Italia grapes. These products have been chosen for their exceptional taste, their traceability, and their seasonal nature, guaranteeing consumers optimum freshness and real added value on the shelf." The operation already seems to have had the expected impact. "Feedback from consumers and store managers has been very positive. Customers really appreciate the freshness and taste of the products, as well as the transparency of their origin. Shelf managers have observed better sales momentum and greater commitment from in-store teams. Generally speaking, our Bo & Bon operations have led to a significant increase in sales of the products highlighted. By promoting seasonality and offering an immersive experience, we encourage consumers to buy more, which boosts sales and helps to reduce waste."
Ensuring impeccable traceability and promoting local produce
While Peruzzo seeks to emphasize quality and seasonality, the company also favors short-distance products from French and Italian producers, marketed under the Bo & Bon brand. "Our citrus fruits come mainly from Italy (Sicily and Calabria), our kiwis are grown on our own farms in Provence, and our vegetables are harvested from local partner producers. This approach allows us to ensure impeccable traceability and to promote local produce. Bo & Bon products from Peruzzo offer excellent value for money by cutting out the middleman. By buying directly from the producer, store managers can ensure optimum freshness and a fair price for their customers. This approach not only ensures tasty, well-selected products but also optimizes the management of margins on the shelves. By combining quality, freshness, and competitive pricing, Bo & Bon is the ideal solution for boosting the fruit and vegetable offer and meeting consumer expectations. In short, Bo & Bon is much more than a brand: it is a philosophy that values taste, quality, and proximity to producers. We are convinced that the future of the fruit and vegetable aisles lies in an authentic approach and in educating consumers about the seasonality and origin of produce. Our shop partners play a key role in this approach, and we will continue to innovate to offer them appropriate and effective solutions."
