Dutch, Spanish, Moroccan, and Turkish tomato exports in the 2023/2024 season

According to data from Comtrade, a United Nations statistics service, when comparing Spanish, Dutch, Moroccan, and Turkish tomato exports, the Netherlands led exports from 1 September 2023 to 31 August 2024, followed by Morocco, Spain, and Turkey.

In the analyzed period, the Netherlands exported 923.9 million kilos of tomatoes worth 1,773.31 million euros, with an average price of 1.92 euros per kilo. Dutch exports peaked in July with 128.18 million kilos, followed by May and August.

Morocco exported 694.45 million kilos of tomatoes worth 1,029.13 million euros and an average price of 1.48 euros per kilo. Moroccan exports peaked in January and reached their lowest volume in August, September, and June.

Spain exported 633.33 million kilos of tomatoes worth 1,087.48 million euros and at an average price of 1.72 euros per kilo. Exports peaked in February and recorded their lowest volume in September.

Turkey exported 555.36 million kilos of tomatoes worth 437.38 million euros at an average price of 0.79 euros per kilo. Turkish exports peaked in December and reached their lowest volume in June.
