Among Greek exhibitors – who were once again the majority – there was a strong presence of companies involved in kiwifruit, while stone fruit also stood out as a key category. With the new season approaching, stone fruit took center stage in many business discussions. It was widely agreed that the upcoming Greek stone fruit crop will be limited across all varieties, leading to higher prices.

As every year, Freskon hosted a series of targeted events addressing key issues in primary production. Among the highlights this year were the "Pears in the Global Market" conference, the "Figs at Freskon" workshop on sustainable fig cultivation, the forum "The Challenges of Kaki" featuring Mr. Pascual Prats, President of the Spanish Kaki Association, and the specialized "Yellow Kiwi Workshop," with speakers from Zespri, Jingold, and KIKOKA.
However, Freskon's activities are not limited to its three-day run in Thessaloniki. As Mrs. Tonia Nikolaidou, Project Manager of Freskon, pointed out: "The trade fair maintains a strong presence abroad, participating as 'Freskon Greece' in major international exhibitions such as Fruit Attraction in Madrid and São Paulo. This helps enhance the international profile of Greek exhibitors and Greece's position in the global fresh produce market."
