Background
Following the detection of Serpentine leafminer (Liriomyza huidobrensis) and American serpentine leafminer (Liriomyza trifolii) in Australia, the above commodities were identified as potential hosts of these Liriomyza species and were added to the New Zealand Export Plan.
New requirements to manage these Liriomyza species came into effect on 11 October 2021 as outlined in IAN 2021-50.
The New Zealand Export Plan is available in the ‘Documents’ section of the Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor). To access these documents, you must be a registered Micor plant user.
