In Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, an unexpected shortfall in cabbage supply has been reported, with significant absences noted across several major markets. The scarcity follows a decrease in shipments from Hagen, Western Highlands province, with the last delivery recorded last Thursday. This reduction has led to price adjustments, with cabbages previously sold for K5 and K6 now being marketed at K10.
Another product that was low this week was carrots. With few selling at K1 for most of the markets, at Gordon the price was at K5 for three.
Banana supply on the other hand was good with all the tables looking green. Common prices across was K3 for a bunch. Boroko had the cheapest selling at K2.
