VDH The Freight Managers has signed a deal with Melcombe Partners for a new logistics centre in Ridderkerk. This new building of 30,000 m2 will have fully refrigerated business space for all fresh AGF products. "This new building gives us the opportunity to bring together our activities at Tradeboulevard 2d Fruit, Hazeldonk and Ridderkerk Fruit, so that we can serve our customers even better," Jan van Dongen and Martijn Heestermans tell us.
The new centre will offer the following facilities:
- 15,000 pallet spaces;
- 22 conditioned cells;
- Repack space of 5,000 m²;
- 42 docks;
- Office units for customers.
"Construction will start in July 2024 and if everything goes according to plan, we will be able to move in by the end of 2025. Construction company Fraanje will carry out the construction. The new building will also be super sustainable with the latest green technologies. With this, we would like to achieve the BREEAM Excellent label."
