Frutas do Brasil project to feature at global events

The Frutas do Brasil initiative, spearheaded by the Brazilian Association of Fruit and Derivative Producers and Exporters (Abrafrutas) in collaboration with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), is set to feature at key global events later this year. This initiative serves as an international platform for showcasing the quality and variety of Brazilian fruits.

Jorge de Souza, project manager at Abrafrutas, emphasized the commitment to providing quality, safe-to-consume fruit, adherence to robust ESG practices, and a continuous drive for operational excellence and export perfection. The strategy for the latter half of the year includes a strong focus on the Asian market, with the Frutas do Brasil Festival in Mumbai, India, expected to open numerous business avenues, particularly for Brazilian apples, avocados, and lemons. Further participation in Asia Fruit Logistica 2024, Fruit Attraction 2024, and the IFPA event in Atlanta, USA, aims to solidify Brazil's position in these markets.

Brazil's fruit sector is poised to meet year-round demand in these markets with its array of quality, safe-to-consume fruits. As a leading supplier of tropical fruits, Brazil offers an expansive selection of species and varieties. "The sector's commitment to quality fruit, ESG practices, respect for importers and customers, and the continuous search for excellence in operations and exports are the pillars that support the participation of the Frutas do Brasil project in international events in the second half of the year," stated Jorge.
