Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has reported an increase in revenues and volumes for the second quarter of 2024. The COSCO-owned carrier saw its revenues reach US$2.26 billion, marking a 14.4% rise from the corresponding quarter in 2023. Furthermore, the company's total liftings for Q2 2024 experienced a slight uptick of 0.9%, amounting to 1.88 million TEUs.
This period also witnessed a 13.4% increase in the average revenue per TEU when compared to the second quarter of the previous year. Additionally, OOCL's performance for the first half of 2024 showed a 2.2% increase in total revenues and a 2.1% rise in total liftings year-over-year, with the average revenue per TEU remaining steady.
