At Axia Vegetable Seeds, the construction of a new research centre for phytopathology and marker technology and a new greenhouse complex for breeding has really started. This Monday, the first pillar went into the ground, courtesy of Kamila Koropacka and Rick Meijer.
Certhon will build the complex. The complex will consist of two blocks. Block 1 at Monnikenlaan 2 will serve as a research centre, while block 2 will be set up specifically for other programmes.

The high-tech research centre is designed to push the boundaries of tomato breeding and offer a wide range of innovative solutions. The Westland breeding company is fully engaged in developing even more ToBRFV-resistant varieties. The new research centre will accelerate this.
