Mazandaran boosts citrus exports by 37%, reaching 11,000 tons

From March 21 to October 22, 2024, Mazandaran province in Iran has seen the export of approximately 11,000 tons of citrus fruits to 10 countries, as detailed by Amir Jamshidi. The exports, facilitated through the Noshahr and Sari customs offices, marked a 37 percent increase over the previous year, totaling over 10,890 tons.

The value of these exports was cited at more than $3.759 million, indicating a 12 percent growth year-on-year. The destinations for these exports included the UAE, Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan. Furthermore, the country's total citrus exports reached over 104,000 tons, valued at $28.482 million, during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year.
