Scherpenhuizen Beheer plans to acquire Primeale United

Martin Scherpenhuizen Beheer plans to indirectly acquire all shares in Van Oers United, the company trading under the name Primeale United. The companies submitted their application for approval of the acquisition to the Authority for Consumers and Markets on Thursday, December 19.

Scherpenhuizen Beheer is a holding company under which Scherpenhuizen Holding operates. Scherpenhuizen is a trading company specializing in fresh fruits and vegetables. Its activities include the marketing of Dutch vegetables, particularly wholesale, packaging, storage, and transshipment of a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.

Additionally, Scherpenhuizen is active in fresh vegetable production through its subsidiary, Kamps Sperziebonen. Kamps focuses primarily on the cultivation, harvesting, and processing of green beans, spring onions, and runner beans. Kamps has cultivation sites in the Netherlands, Germany, and Morocco, with its products exclusively marketed by Scherpenhuizen.

Primeale United is a trading company specializing in fresh vegetables. It engages in both the cultivation of an extensive range of vegetables and wholesale activities, including packaging, storage, transshipment, and transport. Primeale has cultivation sites in the Netherlands, Morocco, and Senegal. The company is part of the French cooperative Agrial, which owns brands such as Florette, Créalin, and Primeale.
