"Our AI-generated summaries leverage the latest models to interpret business performance"

Fresh4cast has been at the forefront of forecasting and planning software for the fruit and vegetable industry for over a decade. Now, the company is taking its solutions to the next level by enhancing its planning capabilities and AI-driven reporting.

"Three years ago, we set out to equip our users with planning tools and algorithms tailored to the unique challenges of the fresh produce sector," says Mihai Ciobanu, CEO of Fresh4cast. "Our solutions address both demand and production-driven supply chains, empowering the industry with the latest technologies, including automatic allocation algorithms and stock replenishment recommendations."

One of the critical inefficiencies Fresh4cast aims to tackle is the optimization of key supply chain processes, such as the Bill of Material Explosion, that in most cases represent the single point of contact between demand and supply. "Our software is 17 times faster than Microsoft's comparable solutions and is specifically designed for fresh produce," Ciobanu explains.

"Speed and reducing planning friction are crucial. Traditionally, companies plan outside their core software, often relying on Excel, and then manually transfer data to the planning team—a process that can take hours and potentially introduce errors. With our solution, everything is integrated, enabling companies to identify outstanding orders within moments, ultimately saving them an entire day, which is a significant advantage in this fast-paced industry."

Fresh4cast also delivers AI-powered reports covering production, sales, and other vital metrics, allowing companies to efficiently navigate through vast amounts of data. These reports are fully customizable to meet the specific needs of each business.

"Our AI-generated summaries leverage the latest models to interpret business performance and provide concise executive summaries to make informed decisions," Ciobanu adds. "These reports are distributed via email to key stakeholders, accompanied by supporting data, and can be translated into any language. This feature is particularly useful for multinational companies with a global presence, ensuring robust communication across different regions while maintaining full confidentiality."

Having pioneered the use of narrow AI since 2014 in the industry, Fresh4cast is now rolling out generative AI, a technology that has gained widespread interest only in recent years. "Businesses are increasingly eager to explore generative AI and its potential for the fresh produce sector is immense," says Ciobanu. "We see significant opportunities for the future."

Fresh4cast will be at Fruit Logistica in Hall 5.2 D-13
