A familiar name at Fruit Logistica is the VLAM pavilion, which has been further expanded this year, welcoming three new companies and introducing a new stand concept. "We see that Berlin remains very popular among Flemish companies, so it's great that we can facilitate this for them every year," says VLAM's Nele Van Avermaet.
Most of the preparations for VLAM are now complete, with only the final details being finalized. The pavilion will once again be located in Hall 27, which has expanded compared to previous years. "For the upcoming edition, the pavilion covers about 730 m², featuring our lounge as well as stands for 34 companies," Nele explains. "This includes three new participants. For example, Elite Fresh Trade and Deroose Plants have joined our stand after being separated last year. Additionally, Van Lier will be exhibiting at Fruit Logistica for the first time. Lastly, Wouters Fruit and Devos Group will be presenting themselves together for the first time at this year's edition."
"Moreover, we are introducing a new stand concept this year," she continues. "The layout remains the same: a lounge with product presentations, surrounded by the companies' stands. However, the design has been refreshed. Our pavilion is slightly larger at 730 m² and more visible in the hall due to its increased height, now reaching around 6 meters. We are also emphasizing Flanders as a region much more prominently, branding it as 'The Northern part of Belgium.' This will be reflected in the design, with the flag of Flanders—a lion on a yellow background—inspiring the color scheme. The yellow color will be incorporated throughout the stand elements. Additionally, companies will have more space to personalize their stands, allowing them to showcase their own identity."
VLAM is once again looking forward to the fair with enthusiasm. "It remains the largest fruit and vegetable fair in Europe. While Fruit Attraction in Madrid is growing rapidly, Fruit Logistica continues to hold its strong position, especially among Flemish companies. I believe our VLAM pavilion has become a well-known feature at the fair. Of course, we can't yet match the Dutch pavilion, but I think we've secured our place. (Potential) customers and colleagues can easily find us, and the interest from Flemish companies in joining us increases every year.
Moreover, we are hosting another get-together on Wednesday evening, keeping the lounge open until 9 p.m.—informally known as the VLAM café. We receive a lot of positive feedback from exporters who appreciate the opportunity to connect in this way, which is often challenging during the fair itself. We're excited to see how these new steps turn out and are looking forward to the event."
VLAM will be in Hall 27 – Stand A 50 at Fruit Logistica.
