The Valentine's week of sales for berries, mango, and cut-fruit sales was really good across the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania for No Bananas. This is despite heavy rain in the major fruit-supplying countries of Spain and the cold in Greece. Andero Keronen, owner of No Bananas, says, "February has been challenging for strawberries, with heavy rains in Spain and an unusually cold season in Greece. Yet, despite these hurdles, our sales are thriving—we are forecasting a 50% increase in Valentine's Week sales compared to last year. But it's not just about strawberries."
No Bananas introduced fresh-cut fruit from around the world to these markets, which is proving to be popular with consumers. "We've been experiencing incredibly busy yet exhilarating and fulfilling times. There's something truly special about seeing our passion and dedication turn into moments of joy for our customers. At No Bananas, we don't just sell fruit—we sell trust, emotions, and unforgettable taste experiences. Every single day, we bring the world's best tastes directly to our customers, ensuring that they can enjoy the best eating experiences, no matter the season. Many of our premium products - mango and pineapple - arrive by air freight, because for us, quality and freshness are non-negotiable. Our cut-fruit project is gaining momentum, with new sales points opening every week. It's incredible to see how much people appreciate the convenience of ready-to-eat, high-quality fruit," explains Keronen.
At the same time, they have also launched an online store to sell fresh fruit, with sales doubling. "Meanwhile, our new customer-centric e-shop has been an absolute game-changer. The warm reception from our customers has been overwhelming—we have nearly doubled our online sales compared to last year. This proves once again that when you focus on creating genuine value, people notice. On top of that, we've also launched our sugar-free "No Bananas" jam (free from sugar substitutes), another step in offering products that align with our philosophy—authentic, high-quality, and made for people who appreciate real taste. We will start selling it in next week."
Keronen together with his team is happy that customers in the Baltic countries appreciate their focus on bringing high-quality fruit from around the world. "Above all, we are deeply grateful. Grateful for our customers who continue to trust us, who recognize our efforts, and who choose to bring a little bit of indulgence and joy into their lives—even in challenging times. It's their trust that drives us to push boundaries, seek out the world's best flavors, and keep delivering excellence every single day. This year feels special. We feel it in the air. And we are ready to embrace it all," he concludes.
