Colombia, Costa Rica, and overall banana prices see slight increases of up to 2%

In the latest banana pricing data, the average price of Colombian bananas has increased slightly from £0.94 per kilogram last week to £0.96 per kilogram this week. This reflects a £0.02 increase, marking a 2% rise in price. The price range for Colombian bananas this week falls between £0.95 and £0.99 per kilogram, showing a narrow and stable fluctuation. The gradual price increase suggests steady demand and limited volatility in the market.

Similarly, Costa Rican bananas have seen a small increase in their average price, moving from £0.98 per kilogram last week to £0.99 per kilogram this week. This £0.01 rise represents a 1% increase, indicating a marginal upward trend. The price range for Costa Rican bananas spans from £0.88 to £1.06 per kilogram, showing a broader fluctuation compared to Colombia. This could be due to a variation in quality, supply consistency, or transportation factors affecting pricing.

When considering all imports, the overall market has experienced a 2% increase in average price, with the general price moving from £0.97 per kilogram last week to £0.98 per kilogram this week.
