Kyrgyzstan’s veg exports grew by 15%, while fruit and nut exports declined in 2024

In 2024, Kyrgyzstan's vegetable exports increased by 15% compared to the previous year, reaching $109.1 million, according to the National Statistical Committee. In 2023, exports were valued at $94.7 million.

The main exported vegetables included:

  • Legumes – $72.1 million
  • Onions and garlic – $11.2 million
  • Potatoes – $11.1 million
  • Carrots, beets, and similar root vegetables – $4.3 million
  • Canned vegetables for short-term storage – $2.8 million

The top five export destinations were: Russia ($32.7M), Turkey ($15M), Uzbekistan ($11.2M), Serbia ($9.8M), and Iran ($7.6M).

At the same time, fruit and nut exports from Kyrgyzstan decreased by 11.3% in 2024. The total value of these exports was $60.2 million, compared to $67.9 million in 2023.

The main exported fruit and nut products included:

  • Nuts – $24.5 million
  • Dried fruits and mixed nuts – $18 million

The top five export destinations for fruits and nuts were: Russia ($35.8M), Uzbekistan ($5.1M), Kazakhstan ($4.6M), Turkey ($4.5M), China ($2.6M).
