The California Fresh Fruit Association (CFFA) is pleased to announce the speakers that will headline the industry workshops during its 89th annual meeting on March 9-11, 2025, at the Ojai Valley Inn.
On Monday, March 10, the keynote presentation is by Nicola Twilley, author of Frostbite: How Refrigeration Changed Our Food, Our Planet, and Ourselves. She will provide a discussion on the history of the most important invention of the food system and the impact it has had on the world.
Immediately following, attendees will hear from Ron Barsamian, of Barsamian and Moody with an update on California labor laws.

On Tuesday, March 11, a panel discussion will focus on the political climate and the post-2024 Presidential election. With a new President and Congress in Washington, a new Legislature in California, and a battle between the federal and state governments in the Golden State, Louie Brown of Kahn, Soares, Conway, LLP, Lorren Walker of Elias Walker, and Josh Walters of the Alliance of California's Farmers and Ranchers will provide insight on how the industry got here, what to expect from both DC and Sacramento and how California agriculture can navigate the aftermath of the 2024 elections.
