Belize’s exports rise in 2025 despite drops in bananas

In January 2025, Belize's domestic exports amounted to $17.1 million, marking a 2.1% increase compared to January 2024, which recorded $16.8 million. Citrus exports experienced a revenue increase, rising from $0.4 million to $1.1 million due to enhanced orange concentrate prices.

Banana exports decreased by $0.5 million, from $6.4 million to $5.9 million, and sugar exports fell by $0.3 million, from $1.5 million to $1.3 million. Despite these reductions, the overall export growth suggests active economic conditions at the start of 2025.
