Starting April 1, 2025, Moldova will be able to export fruits and other products to Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein without paying customs duties or with reduced tariffs.
This is possible thanks to the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), signed in June 2023. After approval by all countries, the agreement is now ready to be used by Moldovan businesses.
This means Moldovan farmers can sell more fruits abroad, and the country can attract new investments. Grapes, apples, plums, and cherries are among the key products expected to gain more buyers in these markets.
Moldova continues to expand its trade partnerships, making it easier for local producers to export their goods worldwide.
