Moyca joins project to grow table grapes without pesticide and fungicide residues

Moyca, a table grape producer, has started a project on two hectares of one of its farms in Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia) to grow Sweet Celebration grapes without traces of pesticides or fungicides. The initiative, which is already active and will culminate in August, aims to put healthier products on the market for consumers while looking after the biodiversity of the environment.

To achieve this, Moyca will follow the instructions of Zerya, the company promoting the initiative, regarding the use of fertilizers and phytosanitary products. Once finished and after analyzing the fruit obtained, the entity will issue a certificate that accredits the results obtained.

This will make Moyca the first table grape growing company to be certified by Zerya, which will open the door to new commercial opportunities in international markets.

Alejandro Riquelme, head of the Food Safety and Process Systems department, highlighted the importance of this project as "a way to continue our commitment to sustainability and provide our clients with the highest quality grapes while also taking care of the environment."
