Taiwan farm products enter Japan through Ajisen Ramen partnership

In Fukuoka, Japan, a memorandum of understanding was signed by Taiwan's fruit and vegetable marketing cooperative with Shigemitsu Industry Co., known for Ajisen Ramen. This marks the entry of 10 Taiwanese agricultural products into Japan's market. Taiwan's Deputy Agriculture Minister Huang Chao-chin and Hiroshi Fuchiwaki, director of the Kumamoto Prefecture liaison office, attended the event.

The collaboration involves the Shigemitsu Industry and the Taichung City Shalu District Fruit and Vegetable Marketing Cooperative. Products such as dried mango, dried guava, and braised pork will be available in Ajisen Ramen stores in Kumamoto. Huang noted this is the first instance of Taiwanese braised pork being sold in Japan, describing the collaboration as "an important step" in internationalizing Taiwan's agricultural sector.

Shigemitsu Industry President Katsuaki Shigemitsu mentioned that offering Taiwan's "Rural Good Products" in their stores enhances ties with Taiwan.
