Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) has completed the acquisition of 60% of the shares in CNMP LH from Seafrigo Group. CNMP LH operates the Atlantique container terminal in Le Havre, France, and continues to function as an independent terminal operator serving global customers. The remaining 40% of shares will remain with Seafrigo Group, a company specializing in temperature-controlled food logistics. Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Le Havre is among the ten largest ports in Europe and is the primary seaport for France, with an annual container throughput of approximately 3 million TEU. The port has strong hinterland connections, particularly to Paris. The container throughput at CNMP LH is projected to increase in the coming years, including in the refrigerated (reefer) container segment.
According to Hanseatic Global Terminals, the acquisition strengthens its presence in the European terminal sector and aligns with its strategy to expand its global terminal network. The company aims to increase its terminal portfolio to over 30 facilities by 2030, with continued investments in infrastructure and operational efficiency.
Seafrigo Group indicated that the partnership with HGT will support ongoing modernization efforts at the CNMP LH terminal and contribute to its development as a key container handling facility within the Port of Le Havre.
