Aartsen and Rivoira are working together towards a promising future with the brand Kikoka, with the first pallets of yellow kiwis now unloaded. This strategic partnership grants Aartsen exclusive rights in the Benelux for the free market, positioning the company as the leading player in the region. Kikoka, with its global licenses, ensures the quality and innovation that form the foundation of this collaboration. Production started in October and will continue until the end of May, with both companies committed to delivering top-quality products. This partnership marks a significant step in the growth and strengthening of both Aartsen and Kikoka in their respective markets.
Aartsen en Kikoka grow together
Aartsen is a well-established import company with a diverse portfolio of fresh fruits and vegetables, sourced from over 800 producers in more than 60 countries. With a strong distribution network, Aartsen welcomes around 1,250 customers weekly across its three locations: Breda and Venlo (Netherlands) and St. Katelijne-Waver (Belgium). Aartsen holds a leading position in the free market in the Netherlands and Belgium. However, its distribution extends beyond these borders, serving customers from the Ruhr area in Germany who load a diverse assortment at Aartsen Venlo. The same applies to areas in Northern France, finding their way to the St. Katelijne-Waver branch in Belgium. Besides this Aartsen has a strong business in the Far East with a presence in Hong Kong and China. Besides the Chinese market, Aartsen focuses on Western imports into South East Asia where the distribution is spread into 15+ countries and into + 175 distribution points.
Kikoka
Since 1950, Rivoira Group has been a family privately-held Italian producer and exporter of premium apples, kiwis, cherries, plums, peaches, berries, and more. Through Rivoira, Kiwi Uno, and RK Growers, the Group ensures top-quality fruit reaches markets worldwide. KiKoKa is the result of a joint breeding project between the University of Udine and NKP - New Kiwi Plant (Italy). The journey began in 2008, with the first plants cultivated in Italy. In April 2022, Rivoira Group secured the exclusive worldwide master license for KiKoKa, driving its expansion across global markets.
