The Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency has announced the inaugural export of Korean melons to Vietnam, facilitated by the Seongju Agricultural Cooperative in k. This event marks the culmination of 17 years of quarantine negotiations, initiated in 2008 and concluded in April of last year.

Since 2008, the South Korean government has engaged in discussions for the export of 10 product categories to Vietnam. By the previous year, agreements had been reached for eight categories, which include apples, pears, grapes, tomatoes, strawberries, persimmons, peppers, and melons, inclusive of sweet melons.
