Avocado and finger lime grower featured on Farmer Wants a Wife

Shanley Farms is heading to primetime. Matt Warren of Shanley Farms will be featured on season 3 of the Fox TV show Farmer Wants a Wife. The new season premieres Thursday, March 20, at 9 p.m. on Fox and streams the next day on Hulu.

As part of his journey to find love, Matt Warren will welcome prospective wives to Shanley Farms, where they'll have the chance to pick avocados and finger limes straight from the source. This spotlight will highlight the rich agricultural roots and family legacy behind Shanley Farms, a generational farm founded by Jim Shanley and now owned and operated by Megan Shanley Warren and her husband, Justin Warren, with active involvement from Matt Warren.

"I'm excited to share this experience with my family and the farm," Matt Warren said. "Shanley Farms has always been a special place for me and my family. Getting to introduce these amazing women to the farm's history—and our incredible avocados and finger limes—makes the experience even more meaningful."

Shanley Farms specializes in three signature crops:

  • Morro Bay Avocados™: Grown as part of the Morro Bay Avocado Program, these meaty, flavorful avocados are California's last avocado crop of the season, available mid-August through October.
  • Finger Limes: A specialty citrus, finger limes are filled with pearl-like vesicles that pop in the mouth with a tangy flavor. They're available from June to December.
  • Passion Fruit: Shanley Farms also grows delicious passion fruit, known for its vibrant flavor and aromatic, tangy-sweet pulp. They're available starting in October.

"Having Shanley Farms featured on a national platform like this is such an exciting opportunity," said co-owner and CEO Megan Shanley Warren. "We're proud of the hard work and passion that goes into growing our crops, and we can't wait to introduce a wider audience to the unique flavors and quality of our produce."

The grower's avocados are now packed by Henry Avocados, which provides national distribution and ripening locations and is also celebrating 100 years in business this year.

Shanley Farms is currently scheduling demand planning for wholesale orders.
