Kyrgyzstan's vegetable imports surged in January 2025, increasing 2.1 times in value compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the National Statistical Committee.
By the end of the month, the country imported vegetables worth $7 million, while the physical volume of imports doubled to 18,000 tons.
The main imported vegetables included legumes, carrots, beets, tomatoes, and cabbage.
Key suppliers were Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, and Turkmenistan.
