The 101 Freeway experienced a disruption when crates of oranges spilled across multiple lanes near Universal Studios. The California Highway Patrol reported that the right three lanes of the southbound 101, near Vineland Avenue, were closed for at least an hour. Officers and cleanup crews worked to address the situation. The location of the spill, close to the 134 and 170 connectors, resulted in traffic congestion extending to nearby freeways.
