Ausveg has launched an online platform aimed at helping Australian vegetable growers access a broad range of research and development (R&D) information. The newly introduced Knowledge Hub, available through the Ausveg website, consolidates more than 3,000 resources related to productivity and industry development.
The platform includes nearly 1,700 R&D project overviews, over 1,100 project reports, and more than 400 fact sheets, along with articles, case studies, podcasts, and videos. Topics span areas such as agricultural technology, biosecurity, soil health, irrigation, business practices, and consumer trends.
According to Ausveg National Manager for Communications, Andrew MacDonald, the platform is designed to assist growers in accessing information funded by industry levies, helping them stay informed and apply relevant research to their operations.
The Knowledge Hub is an output of two levy-funded projects: the vegetable industry communications project (VG22000) and the Australian onion industry communications project (VN21000). Both are managed by Hort Innovation, a grower-owned research and development corporation, with support from the Australian Government.
The initiative is intended to make existing R&D outcomes more accessible to growers, enabling them to address challenges and adopt practices backed by research.
