Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Sales Representative to join our team. This role will be based in Ontario, with territory responsibilities extending throughout Ontario and Quebec. If you have a passion for horticulture, an understanding of growers’ needs, and the skills to help customers improve crop yield and quality, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Territory Management: Manage accounts within Ontario, as well as Quebec.
- Sales Promotion: Actively promote Houweling products to greenhouse growers in the assigned regions, engaging in a mix of direct sales and distributor support.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM, including contact information, meeting notes, and opportunity tracking.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in sales and or business.
- Horticulture Knowledge: Strong understanding of horticulture and the unique needs of growers. Minimum 3 years experience in a sales position and/or horticulture industry.
- Business Acumen: Familiarity with the technical and business challenges of the horticulture industry, with the ability to communicate effectively with both growers and business owners.
- Process-Oriented: Comfortable and adaptable to structured sales processes for achieving results.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using CRM software and strong general computer skills. Specifically, Hubspot and Microsoft 365.
