Simple, useful, practical, these are the three adjectives that describe the hose peg: an accessory that was launched on the market in 2023 and that has already received positive feedback. The founders of SR Innovative Ismaele Benaglio and Isacco Roviaro make an assessment less than one year after its launch.

"After the launch at Macfrut 2023, the validity of our product was further confirmed at Fieragricola Verona. The vegetable producers that have implemented it realized that the pegs are useful and save time. The greatest satisfaction is that various producers who tested them in 2023 purchased more of them this year. We are very pleased with this, as it means the product is appreciated and it is an investment in which producers believe and from which they benefit already in the short term."
The two young entrepreneurs will attend Macfrut 2024, where they will illustrate the advantages of the solution in person. Tying hundreds of hoses in the end part is often a slow and not-always-effective operation. In addition, a part of the hose is lost, making unblocking difficult. Pegs are effective for drip lines in vegetable crops.
The difficulties encountered when tying the end parts mainly reside in the fact that it is a manual operation, which sometimes is not optimal due to its repetitiveness. The impossibility of adjusting the hoses once laid adds to the problem. In fact it is practically impossible to unblock or adjust hoses without cutting and re-tying them, leading to disadvantages and waste of material.
