BIEEL Project aims to boost Lebanese agri exports

BIEEL stands for “Support Business Innovation and Enhance Export for Lebanon”. It is a project, led by Fair Trade Lebanon and initiated by the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI).

The initiative aims at creating an environment which enables business development and empowers 100 Lebanese SMEs and cooperatives by enhancing their competitiveness internationally. It focuses on empowering and providing technical and financial support to 100 Lebanese cooperatives and SMEs, by improving their productivity and efficiency, and introducing quality enhancements to their businesses.

The cooperatives and SME’s are divided into seven different clusters: Oil & Olive Oil, Grape Growers, Zaatar, Tahini Oaste, Potato Chips, Pastry & Sweets, and Fruits & Nuts.

The project has now issued its July 2022 Summary Presentation.
