Egypt's agricultural exports came out at 6 million tons in 2022, witnessing an increase of 200,000 tons. The top crops have been citrus (1.7 million tons), potato (621,900 tons), and onion (510,552). Egypt's exports of frozen strawberry surged by 30 percent in the first 10 months of 2022, registering $290 million, against $240 million in the same period last year
The top importers of Egyptian goods in 2021 were the G7 ($9.9 billion), ESCWA ($8.9 billion), AU member states ($5.5 billion), and BRICS ($4.6 billion). As for the European Union (AU), Egypt's exports to the bloc almost doubled to become $14.5 billion in 2021 up from $7.7 billion in 2017.
