Successful passion fruit trial cultivation encourages Zhemgang growers

Successful trials with passion fruit have taken place in Nangkor county, in Zhemgang. As more and more farmers are taking up its cultivation, it is rapidly becoming a lucrative business venture. Officials of Bhutan Agro from Lingmethang are visiting the fields, purchasing the harvests.

The growers do not lack sales options; many are selling their harvests to Bhutan Argo Industries Limited, a fruit processing company.
