Peru's Matías blueberries reach the Indian market

The Inka's Berries company announced that it has managed to export blueberries of the Matias variety to the Indian market for the first time. "This new destination marks a milestone for our management and in our desire to export Peruvian blueberries to more and more markets," the company stated.

Inka's Berries has an agreement with the University of Georgia for the development of new blueberry varieties. Some weeks ago, the company stated it was already harvesting this premium variety that is currently being shipped abroad. The other commercial variety it has validated in Peru is the Salvador blueberry. The company has more than 200 hectares devoted to these varieties in their Fundo San Javier farm, located in Cayaltí, Chiclayo.
