Ronnie Moorman, from Willem Dijk AGF:

"The wait was worth it. First Elefant-branded Navelina oranges have already arrived"

More than a week later than last season, Willem Dijk AGF has started marketing the Navelina oranges under the Elefant brand. "Last week, the fruit didn't yet have the right color and taste. According to Vicent Aguado, director of Exportaciones Aguado, we have to be patient to make this season a success as well," said Ronnie Moorman.

Exportaciones Aguado is a true specialist in the marketing of oranges from the main Spanish growing areas. Last season, more than 20 million kilos of citrus were processed at this packing station. The packing station has an area of over 7,000 m2.

"By the way, we have to take a step back in terms of volume this season due to various factors, including climatic ones. Prices are certainly a lot higher now than last season, about 0.20 Euro per kilo," said Ronnie. "We can't yet guarantee a big supply either; this week, we have only had one truckload."

"To get customers excited about the new Elefant season, a promotional elephant can be provided to the seller. Book early, as availability is limited," said Ronnie.
