The inauguration of Kyrgyzstan's first frozen fruit and vegetable plant

Kyrgyz Prime Minister and President's Chief of Staff, Akylbek Japarov, attended the opening ceremony of a frozen fruit and vegetable processing plant at the logistics centre of "Kyrgyzproducer" in the Moskovsky district during his visit to the Chui region.

The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund allocated $4 million to support the establishment of the frozen fruit and vegetable plant. Japarov praised the fund's role in catalysing economic modernization, and financing various projects, including 56% in the agricultural sector.

The newly opened IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) technology plant is the first in Kyrgyzstan, with a storage capacity of 4,000 tons and sourcing produce from over 1,000 farmers nationwide.

Japarov underscored the plant's significance in enhancing the country's economy, particularly in preventing food shortages and boosting exports.
