The import of exotic fruits from China to the Novosibirsk region has increased by 40 times since the beginning of this year.
According to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Novosibirsk Region, from the start of the year until February 19th, 1568 tons of fruits have been delivered to Novosibirsk warehouses. In comparison to last year's mere 39 tons during the same period.
The assortment primarily comprises two types of citrus fruits: 827 tons of pomelos and 565 tons of mandarins. Additionally, 91 tons of mangoes and 85 tons of pitahayas (dragon fruit) were imported, as per the agency's report.
All products have passed phytosanitary control, and these fruits are sold on the shelves of regional stores.
