Ukrainian agro-producer receives grant for horticulture and greenhouse development

An agro-producer from the Poltava region, Ukraine has received a grant of $416,000 to develop horticulture and greenhouse farming. The funds are aimed at expanding orchard areas and constructing new greenhouses, which will create new jobs. Specifically, $245,000 has been allocated for horticulture, resulting in 25 hectares being planted with new apple and pear trees. The remaining $171,000 is designated for the construction of greenhouses.

In addition to apples and pears, they also grow plums, peaches, cherries, and apricots. Among the berries, they cultivate raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and black currants. As for vegetables, they produce tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, beets, and cabbage.

The farm's management has also discussed support opportunities and product marketing on both domestic and international markets, opening new prospects for the enterprise's growth.
