DeCicco & Sons, an independent supermarket chain with 11 stores in New York state's Westchester County, plans to open its first Connecticut location at a vacant supermarket site in the Glenville area of Greenwich that was occupied by a Stop & Shop until summer 2023, according to a published report. "The owner [real estate executive Guy Sutton] is pleased to announce that a lease has been signed with DeCicco & Sons for them to open a new store at the shopping center", attorney Tom Heagney told the Greenwich Time newspaper.

Doordash held talks with UK's Deliveroo on takeover, sources say
U.S. meal delivery group Doordash flagged an interest in a takeover of Britain's Deliveroo last month, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters. San Francisco-based Doordash made the approach to Deliveroo, but talks ended after disagreement on valuation, said one of the people, speaking on condition of anonymity because the matter is private. There are no talks ongoing, the person added. Doordash and Deliveroo both declined to comment.

UK grocery sales growth slows in June as wet weather weighs, says NIQ
