Export of fruit and vegetable products to Russia from Asia

Under Rosselkhoznadzor's supervision in June 2024, 904 batches of plant products arrived in the Chelyabinsk region, Russia. These included 14,400 tons of fruits, vegetables, and melons, as well as 158,700 units of floral products, imported from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and China.

There were 36 cases of contamination found during laboratory inspections: 123.2 tons of peaches and apricots with oriental fruit moth and 204 tons of apricots, plums, apples and nectarines with scale insects.

Measures were taken by current legislation regarding the contaminated quarantined products, while Products that met phytosanitary standards were approved for import and sale.
