Semillas Fitó has just concluded the pepper campaign in the Region of Murcia with the V Edition of # VitaminateconPimiento and a video summary on YouTube.
The V Edition of # VitaminateconPimiento has once again demonstrated how important valuing pepper cultivation in the area and conveying its benefits to the final consumer to promote its consumption is for Semillas Fitó. In this edition, there were promotions in the different auctions of the Campo de Cartagena to be close to farmers. The promotions included a game where farmers had to guess the weight of a box of peppers to win a prize.
In another action, in collaboration with the city council of Pilar de la Horadada, part of Semillas Fitó's technical and commercial team was present at the II Fitness Marathon to inform final consumers of the benefits of pepper cultivation.
They also developed various direct actions with farmers in the Region of Murcia.

Semillas Fitó has leading varieties in key segments such as California pepper and Lamuyo. Their California Red varieties include the Maestral variety, a leader in Murcia for several years thanks to its high production and precocity. For this season, the Nelto and Maestranza varieties stand out thanks to the quality of their fruits, their square format, four well-marked hulls, thick walls, intense red color, and because they offer a high production in a staggered manner. These very productive varieties yield high-quality peppers with the color and caliber demanded by the markets. In addition, they are resistant to powdery mildew and nematode as demanded by producers.
The Rio Grande variety stands out in the Lamuyo offer. It has been the reference in Murcia for more than five years thanks to its fruit quality, production, and harvest versatility in both green and red. This variety is perfect for transplants in the Campo de Cartagena starting in November. It has excellent quality, is highly productive, and a high percentage of the intense red peppers it yields are top-notch fruits.
