Automated conveyor manufacturer Dorner has launched several updates to its FlexMove line of conveyors, including an expansion of transfer options and module functionality.
Dormer's wedge conveyors move products from the production floor to a higher level or vice versa, according to the company. Products are wedged between opposing conveyors aligned vertically or horizontally.
Wedge conveyors are easy to construct and lightweight, with compact footprints, according to Dormer. A rapid transfer rate makes it well-suited for use in continuous, high-capacity operations such as packaging lines.
The updates include:
- Adjustable width wedge conveyor: Dormer's wedge conveyor has been updated with an adjustable width module as a standard offering. The easy-to-crank module offers adjustments to handle various-sized products and simplifies line changeover.
- X&S style transfers: The new X&S in-line modules provide a standard, compact way to side transfer product from conveyor to conveyor while maintaining product orientation.
- Popup stop module: Wide pop-up stopper units are designed to gently stop product movement in applications where the product is wider than the conveyor width.
- Manual side guide bending unit: The new, compact tool is designed to simplify bending tasks during on-site installation and modification projects.
