Winners crowned for the 2024 Sydney Markets Fresh Awards

The highly anticipated Sydney Markets' 2024 Fresh Awards have announced this year's winners at the awards ceremony held on Friday 12 July at the ICC Sydney. They celebrated and acknowledged the achievements of NSW and ACT's best.

Crowd favourite, Chris Bath, returned to the stage this year as Master of Ceremonies, who in collaboration with special guests and Sydney Markets leaders awarded 22 incredible winners amongst the fresh produce, floral and content industries out of an incredible 89 finalists.

The Fresh Awards are one of the industry's most highly-regarded accolades, to encourage and acknowledge best practice and innovation in the growing, retailing, wholesaling and content creation of fresh produce and flowers.

CEO of Sydney Markets, Bradley Latham took great pride in recognising the hard work and dedication of those working within Markets community. "The Fresh Award contenders are some of the cornerstones of our local communities and deserve to be recognised for the service they provide to their customers. This year's awards saw some of the most hardworking and talented finalists to date, with every nominee a credit to the industry," said Latham.

"The Awards have continued to grow year-on-year, with the 2024 finalists featuring a number of new faces. Sydney Markets is pleased to be commemorating our Fresh Awards finalists and winners once again, offering them the recognition they deserve," said Latham.

Retailers and growers were evaluated through an intensive mystery shopping program. They were judged on everything from produce quality and freshness, customer service and industry knowledge, as well as their store appearance and innovative approaches. Sydney Markets is home to the Sydney Produce Market, Sydney Flower Market, Sydney Growers Market and Paddy's Markets. Supplied by thousands of local and interstate growers, more than 2000 businesses call the Sydney Markets home, selling fresh fruit, vegetables and cut flowers to florists, fruit retailers and consumers.
