Compagnie Fruitière expands with new office in Poland

“Poland is a very promising market”

With two ripening facilities already present in Romania and Hungary, and an office in Germany, Compagnie Fruitière continues to expand into Eastern Europe (22 distribution sites already present on the continent) with the opening of a new office in Poland. "This is a logical expansion," according to Gautier Fischel, vice-president sales and marketing of the company, "as our activities have developed in recent years in Eastern Europe, which is becoming a benchmark market. This region, and Poland in particular, is a very promising market. It will also enable us to open up to other continents and other products."

Family business founded in 1938 in Marseille, Compagnie Fruitière is one of the leading fruit producers in the Africa-Caribbean-Pacific zone and it is Europe's third-largest banana operator. It produces, transports, ripens and markets over 900,000 tons of fruit and vegetables, including 750,000 tons of bananas in Europe and worldwide / Compagnie Fruitière premises at Rungis

With this new structure, called "Compagnie Fruitière Polska", the company is extending its tropical fruit distribution and import network to serve clients as directly as possible with bananas and tropical fruit of major import. Already a partner of the major chains, Compagnie Fruitière aims to strengthen "its presence on this market through closer contact with its clients."

Compagnie Fruitière's distribution network wants to develop sales of the SCB and SCB Suprême brands and the group's products (bananas, pineapples, mangoes, lychees and other imported fruits).

In pursuit of its development, Compagnie Fruitière plans to create new entities like this one in the near future.
