Ukrainian company plans to harvest 40 tons of raspberries this season

This year, the VIAN 2021, which relocated from Zaporizhzhia (a region in southern Ukraine) to Mukachevo (western Ukraine), plans to harvest 40 tons of raspberries.

VIAN 2021 farms have 5 hectares of blueberries and raspberries each, which are grown in open ground, as well as 0.5 hectares each of raspberries and strawberries cultivated in tunnels. The company also plans to expand its blueberry fields and start growing this berry in greenhouses to achieve an early harvest.

The berries are harvested by hand, and the plantations are located in the village of Lavky at an elevation of over 250 meters above sea level, offering breath-taking views.

"The work here continues year-round: berry harvesting lasts from spring until the first frosts. Now it's raspberry season, and farmers expect to gather over 40 tons of this sweet berry this year," the report states.
