In Guiyang, Guizhou province, China, a special No 252 bus has gained attention for helping local farmers transport their produce to the city center. Launched in June 2024, this bus was tailored to accommodate the needs of farmers, providing more space for their goods.
Departing 10 minutes before the regular bus, it stops only at key stations near farming communities, allowing farmers to reach the city early. A detachable shelf was added to increase cargo capacity.
Since its introduction, the bus has served nearly 7,000 farmers and transported around 100 tons of produce, significantly easing their commute and work.
