A review of the international market from Asia Fruit Logistica

Kiwifruit harvesting operations about to begin - red varieties to be harvested first

The new Jingold kiwi season will start in the northern hemisphere in a few days' time: the campaign will begin with the earliest of the varieties, the red-fleshed kiwi Exotic Red, for which harvesting will begin as early as mid-September. They will be followed by the yellow-fleshed varieties Jintao and Jinyan, the group's leading products and, finally, by green-fleshed kiwifruits in late October-early November.

At Asia Fruit Logistica

The company is attending Asia Fruit Logistica (September 4-6). "This fair confirms itself as an important appointment for our reference markets in Asia, i.e. China, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and Singapore," explains Federico Milanese, Jingold's marketing manager. "These are strategic markets that need to be presided over, as interesting exchanges can occur regardless of the logistical and distribution complexity determined by their enormous size, and which are precursors of trends."

"The fair is seeing a considerable turnout and significant interest on the part of visitors, with an enthusiastic response and significant participation on the part of customers from the main Asian countries. The operators who visited our stand showed a strong interest in our innovative kiwifruit varieties, confirming the growing demand for high quality products in the eastern markets."

As for market forecasts, Milanese explains that "the kiwi market looks particularly promising for the current year. In response to this growing demand, Jingold has planned a significant increase in production for both yellow-fleshed and red-fleshed kiwifruits. The latter are increasingly appreciated by consumers all over the world, so a significant increase in volumes is expected."

In the new season, Jingold will continue to invest in innovation and in the premium quality of its kiwifruits, with the aim of meeting the needs of international markets and bringing the authentic taste of Italian kiwifruits to tables all over the world.
